What CrawlCred is (and isn't)

CrawlCred is an independent directory and verification-report service. We summarize public records and documents as of the date shown on each listing. We are not a contractor, do not perform or supervise work, and are not a party to any agreement between you and a contractor.

No guarantee

Verification reflects records at the time of checking. It is not an endorsement and does not guarantee licensure tomorrow, workmanship, pricing, timelines or project outcomes. Hiring decisions and contracts are yours; always confirm current records at the official source before signing.

Quote requests

Submitting a quote request authorizes us to deliver your request to the contractor(s) described at submission (a selected contractor, or up to two verified matches). We forward requests in good faith but do not guarantee a response, availability or any particular quote.

Accounts and messaging

Accounts use one-time email codes instead of passwords; keep control of your email inbox, since it is the key to your account. Conversations on the site are between you and the contractor — use them for project communication, not spam, harassment or solicitation unrelated to the listing. We may suspend accounts that abuse messaging.

Bookings and payment

Booking a service through the site sends a request to the contractor, who may accept or decline. The resulting agreement — scope, schedule, price and payment — is directly between you and the contractor. No money moves through CrawlCred: a booking marked "paid" reflects the contractor's confirmation of a payment made outside the site. We are not a party to the work and do not hold funds, mediate disputes or guarantee performance.

Cost figures

Cost ranges, calculator outputs and city cost notes are educational estimates from quote reviews — not bids, appraisals or offers. Real quotes vary with site conditions.

Contractor listings and subscriptions

Listings are compiled from public records; contractors may claim a listing to correct or extend it. Featured placement is a paid visibility product limited to 3 slots per market, always labeled, and never affects verification results or organic ranking. Subscriptions renew until cancelled and remain active through the paid period. Payment processing is handled by our merchant of record, whose terms also apply.

Refunds (featured placement)

Cancel anytime — your placement stays live through the period you've already paid for, then ends. First-time featured subscribers get a full refund within 14 days of their first charge, no questions asked; the placement ends when the refund is issued. Outside the 14-day window, refunds are at our discretion (typically prorated for unused time in unusual circumstances). Refunds are processed by our merchant of record back to the original payment method.

Acceptable use

No scraping at abusive rates, no submitting false requests or inquiries, no attempting to manipulate verification results. We may rate-limit, remove content or refuse service to protect the accuracy of the directory.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrawlCred's aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (for homeowners using the free service: $0). Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
