Quote requests: name, email, ZIP code, optional phone number and project description. Contractor inquiries: company, contact name, email, optional phone. Automatically: standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) kept for security and rate-limiting.

We do not sell personal information. Analytics and advertising cookies are described in their own sections below — plainly, like everything else here.

A quote request is delivered to the specific contractor you selected — or, if you asked for a match, to at most two verified contractors serving your area. That is the entire distribution. We also use your contact details to respond to you about your own request. Contractor listing data (business name, license, insurance, certification records) comes from public records and is published as part of the directory.

When you check the consent box on a quote request, you agree that the receiving contractor(s) may contact you about that request by phone or email. You can revoke this at any time by emailing us; we process revocations within 10 business days and instruct the receiving contractor(s) to stop contact.

Quote requests and inquiries are retained while relevant to providing the service and for our legal record-keeping. You may request a copy or deletion of your personal information at any time — email us and we will respond within 30 days. Residents of states with privacy statutes (including the CCPA/CPRA in California) may exercise their access, deletion and non-discrimination rights the same way.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages help visitors — page views, referral source, approximate region. It sets cookies and is configured without advertising features. You can block it with any standard content blocker, your browser's cookie settings, or Google's opt-out add-on. The site works identically either way.

Some pages (guides and educational content — never verification reports or contractor profiles) may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable it and its partners to serve personalized ads; the list of ad technology providers is available from Google.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or opt out of many third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Ads never influence verification results, organic ranking, or which contractors appear in a report — that separation is the whole point of this site.

Personal information is shared only with: (1) the contractor(s) described above, (2) our infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery, payment processing for contractor subscriptions), each bound to process data only on our instructions. We never sell or rent contact lists.
