What we actually do
For crawl space encapsulation and moisture contractors across the US Southeast (NC, SC, GA, TN, VA), we run the same five checks on every listing — state license, liability insurance, industry certification, entity name match, and public discipline — each stamped with its as-of date. Listings are built from public records, not paid sign-ups.

01Evidence, not scare tactics
Contractor sites sell with photos of mold and rot, then a high-pressure quote. A $2,000–$15,000 decision deserves records, not fear. We show what the public record says — and nothing it doesn't.
02Dated, or it doesn't count
Every check carries the date it ran, and we re-check every 90 days. A verification badge without a date is decoration. Ours tells you exactly how fresh it is.
03Money never buys rank
Featured placement is labeled, capped at three slots per market, and cannot change a verification result or organic order. A poor finding stays published even if that company pays. There is no pay-to-clean.
04We don't fill gaps with guesses
When a record can't be confirmed, the listing says 'unverified' — never a polite fiction. Honest blanks are the point.
How we keep the lights on
Homeowners use CrawlCred free, and quote requests are forwarded free — we take no commission on jobs. Contractors can pay for clearly-labeled Featured placement, which never touches verification results or organic order. That's the whole model: transparent, capped, and separate from the record.
